In nomine sancte et indiuidue trinitatis ego Samson diuina miseratione Remorum archiepiscopus uniuersis sancte ecclesie filiis in perpetuum. Pro ecclesiis que a deo nobis commisse sunt sollicitos nos esse oportet nec solum uidendum est de presenti ut quietam et tranquillam uitam agant in omni pietate sed etiam ne qua in posterum inquietudine laborari ualeant quantum dominus prestare dignatus fuerit uigilantissime prouidendum. Quocirca litteris mandari decreuimus controuersia que inter abbates Balduinum de sancto Vincentio Laudunensi et Gualterum de beato Martino Tornacensi diutius agitata est quo fine fuerit terminata. Partem siquidem terre quam ecclesia Tornacensis in episcopatu Laudunensi in loco uidelicet qui ad Fabarias dicitur diutius possederat Laudunensis abbas suam esse debere asserebat sed auditis allegationibus partis utriusque a dilectissimo fratre nostro Iosleno Suessionensi episcopo ea quam curie Remensis diligentia tunc reperire ualuit est prolata sententia consentientibus his qui tunc aderant episcopis et abbatibus abbas que sancti Vincentii a causa decidit et partem illam de qua lis agebatur ecclesia Tornacensis sicut iam diu possederat iudicio obtinuit. Quod nequando negari possit aut aliter actum asseratur presenti scriptura contestamur et sigilli nostri impressione confirmamus probabilium que personarum que tunc interesse potuerunt testimonio roboramus.
