FULL TEXT OF CHARTER
In nomine sancte et indiuidue trinitatis. Otto diuina prouidente clementia imperator augustus. Pateat omnium fidelium nostrorum tam presentium quam futurorum industriae nos ob salubrem dilecte coniugis nostrae Theuphanu consultum quam strenue semper pro augenda dei seruitute monitricis ac etiam propter elemosinam et remedium animae nostre uenerabili abbatisse Adalbernae de Niuialensi sanctae Gertrudis abbatia in loco quodam Liniaco in pago Brachbant in comitatu Iohannis sito mercatum habendi nostra regali potentia licentiam concessisse ea sane rationis causa ut quidquid ab eodem mercatu Liniaco in teloneis uel alicuius mercimonii negociatione adquisitum fuerit totum deinceps ad seruitium et utilitatem famularum sancte Gertrudis pertineat et deseruiat. Ne ulla cuiusquam uero potentiae persona in supramemorati mercatu loci preter aduocatum quem abbatissa Adalberina et cetere abbatisse eius uice super eundem locum dominature uenturis temporibus elegerint dominetur aut aliquam exigat potestatem firmiter imperiali constrictione interdicimus. Et ut haec nostrae concessionis auctoritas per infinita a successoribus nostris regibus et coimperatoribus cunctis que sanctae dei ecclesie fidelibus tempora seruetur incorrupta hanc cartam iussu nostro scriptam et sigillatam nostre manus conscripsione firmauimus. Signum domni Ottonis inuictissimi imperatoris augusti. Hildibaldus cancellarius aduicem Willigisi archicapellani conscripsi.
