FULL TEXT OF CHARTER
In nomine summe et indiuidue trinitatis patris et filii et spiritus sancti. Ludouicus dei gratia Francorum rex uniuersis sancte dei aecclesiae cultoribus tam posteris quam et instantibus in domino Ihesu salutem. Fraternitati uestrae notum fieri uolumus ac certum haberi quia Gerardus de Chyrisi cum uxore sua Heluide assensu Rogeri consanguinei sui terras apud Luuriacum et apud Branzicurtem cum molendino et nemore pratis que et aquis et seruis et ancillis ad easdem terras pertinentibus beato Martino de Tornaco in salutem animae suae attribuit et omnia quae suae potestatis et sui iuris ibi fuerant scilicet patronatum aduocationem districtum omnem uidelicet iudiciariam potestatem supradicto cenobio contradidit. Nos etiam credentes stabilitatem regum et principum firmari fidelium orationibus et nos aliquo beneficio commendare uolentes et animas predecessorum nostrorum supradicti cenobii fratribus petitione eiusdem Rogeri predictas terras deo et prefatae ecclesiae possidendas perpetualiter et habendas cum omnibus supra denominatis concessimus et maiestate regia nostri que sigillo nominis confirmauimus. Quod si aliquis infirmare uel irritum facere quoquomodo presumat de contemptu maiestatis nostrae centum libras auri persoluat. Actum Lauduni publice in aecclesia beati Iohannis anno incarnati uerbi M° C° VIIII° anno uero consecrationis nostrae primo tempore Waldrici tunc temporis Laudunensis episcopi. Affuerunt testimonium ueritatis perhibentes Ansellus de Garlanda dapifer noster Willelmus frater ipsius Hugo constabularius Wido buticularius Stephanus cancellarius Ansellus decanus matris ecclesiae Blihardus cantor.
